DESCRIPTION

The Regulator hidden access door is designed with a function of position adjustment of doors in three planes, by width, height and depth. It is necessary during the arrangement of premises in a newly constructed building, where walls still shrink in the first years of operation. It is relevant when laying tiles with very narrow inter-tile seams (seamless laying of tiles), as well as to make the gaps between the tile attached to the access door and the tile on the wall the same along the entire perimeter.

Like other tile access doors of this series, Regulator provides convenient and invisible access to various engineering communications (meters, taps, technical niches, pipes, etc.) in the walls of premises and outdoors (under the covering). It is suitable for cladding with ceramic tile up to 20 mm thick, ceramic granite up to 12 mm thick, mosaic, HPL panels up to 20 mm thick, and other materials similar in weight.

The access door consists of a 20x40x1.2 mm steel profile frame and a door with a 20x20x1.2 mm profile frame, on which a 10 mm thick KNAUF gypsum-fiber supersheet (GVL) is fixed. Profiles for Regulator hidden access doors are made mainly from electric welding carbon cold rolled black steel, which undergoes processing with phosphates and covered polyester powder paint to ensure anti-corrosion. Welds are made by the MIG method according to the international standard DIN EN ISO 5817.

The access door opens by pressing with HEFELE Mini- Latch locks at 110°. Frontal opening when pressed protects facing material from chipping off. Rotation of the door is ensured by a two-hinged Robot Double DoorHolder®, which is reinforced between hinges with a continuous steel pipe with a diameter of 15 mm. The hinge has an adjustment mechanism for the position of the doors in the 3D plane, which includes nuts for adjustment and guiding axles. By tightening the nuts with a standard nut key, you can move the access door forward and backward, right and left, up and down. At the same time, the access door does not lose its carrying capacity and functionality. It is possible to adjust the depth vertically and horizontally from -3 to +3 mm. General depth of the construction is 55 mm, plus 15 mm of protruding locks = 70 mm.

Minimum dimensions with one door are 200x350 mm, maximum ones - 700Lx1300H mm. For bigger dimensions, a design with two doors is used, maximum dimensions for the horizontal placement of the door is 1200 Wx1300H mm (two doors - 600 Wx1300H mm without a jumper in the middle), vertical placement - 700 Wx2000H mm (two doors - 700 Wx1000H mm without a jumper in the middle).

SIZE SELECTION

To correctly select the size of the tile inspection access door, you need to measure the exact size of the tile and the size of the niche (mounting opening). We recommend ordering the access door of the same size as one or more tile sections or smaller.

Important!!! It is allowed to protrude the tile beyond the dimensions of the access door frame on the hinge fastening side by a maximum of 20 mm and 50 mm on all other sides.

To select the size of the access door to line it with mosaic, it is necessary to measure the dimensions of one fragment and add the thickness of the seam; after that, calculate how many fragments will fit in the area of the mounting opening/niche, taking into account the thickness of the seams.

Important!!! Be sure to inform the manager before ordering that the access door will be lined with mosaic.

The access door entrance opens from left to right or from right to left only. The depth of the mounting opening/niche for installing the access door must be at least 70 mm in the area where the access door locks are placed.

Important!!! Please note that the useful/light/free space after installing the access door will be smaller than the overall size of the access door due to the location of the hinges and the thickness of the profile. For a design with one entrance, horizontally the space is smaller by 90 mm + 20 mm lock protrusion = 110 mm, vertically - by 40 mm.

ASSEMBLING

Access doors can be installed in the niches of vertical walls and partitions made of brick, concrete or sheet materials such as plasterboard.

Important!!! The standard version does not include fastening elements or openings.

Preparation of the opening.

If the access door is installed in a plasterboard wall, we recommend installing a CD profile frame around the perimeter of the opening, or a black steel pipe for large sizes. There is no need to install an additional profile on the sides in a concrete or brick wall. The access door must be secured on four sides.

Fixing the access door in the opening.

Install the access door in the mounting opening/niche in one plane with the wall surface. Secure the access door with self-tapping screws or self-tapping screws with dowels. Additionally, fix the access door frame with wooden wedges. Make sure that the access door is installed without distortion of the frame and in one plane with the surface of the wall. To increase tightness, fill the holes between the frame of the access door and the wall with mounting foam.

Facing.

Apply facing material to the gypsum fiber of the access door entrance according to the instructions for use. The access door can be faced both before and after the finishing of the walls.

Door adjustment

The door can be moved in depth, vertically and horizontally in the range from +3 mm to -3 mm. For vertical adjustment, it is necessary to turn a nut up or down with a nut key on the hinge adjustment mechanism. For horizontal adjustment, tighten the bolt in the 3D adjustment mechanism with a hex key. To adjust the depth, it is necessary to unscrew the nuts on the push locks and move the locks to the required depth.

Storage and operation conditions.

  1. Store and transport the product in a vertical position only, with a longer side facing the floor;
  2. Store and operate the product indoors or outdoors under the covering only at temperature from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius, relative humidity not more than 80%;
  3. It is forbidden to store the product near open heat sources closer than 2 meters;
  4. Direct ingress of water on the access door is prohibited.

Warning.

Please note that to make it possible to press the access door entrance, there should be a space of 4 mm deep under the edges of the tiles that protrude beyond the dimensions of the access door.

It is forbidden to open the access door entrance if all the Mini-Latch locks did not work when pressed: this may damage plastic latches. Therefore, we recommend to press the access door entrance in the middle when opening, so that the locks work from all sides.

Do not leave children unsupervised when the access door is open, as it is a heavy structure with sharp metal protrusions, so carelessness in its handling can lead to serious injury and bodily harm. Be cautious!
