[tab name='1 door']
We present the most popular basic model of “One” hidden installation access door for painting. The access door has a wide range of application for hidden access in the walls and ceiling to various engineering communications (meters, taps, built-in electrical panels, technical niches or ventilation). The access door is attached exclusively to plate materials with the help of special protrusions along the contour. “One” is the best option for walls!
The access door is made of specially extruded aluminum profile. The access door is designed for small sizes up to 600x600 mm, but this creates an ideal ratio of price and functionality. “One” access door is suitable for applying paint, decorative plaster, wallpaper, natural and decorative leather, fabrics and similar materials.
“One” access door consists of an aluminum corner frame with the dimensions of 25x15x2 mm. The inner area of the corner is turned to the front side of the access door, and its 25 mm edge acts as a wing for fastening to drywall. The entrance is made of the same aluminum corner 25x15x2 mm, on which 12.5 mm moisture-resistant drywall is fixed. The frame with the entrance on one side is connected with special screws that ensure the axial rotation of the entrance; on the other side, it is fixed with the PUSH system of Mini-Latch HEFELE locks. The access door is opened by pressing, after which the entrance lowers into the depth of the frame by 4 mm from the side of the locks and opens to 90°. After closing the access door, the gap between the frame and the door is 1.5 mm. Special bulges in the frame prevent the entrance from sagging and changing the size of the gaps. The corner of the frame and the entrance does not have a thinning near the front part of the access door, so its thickness of 2 mm may remain visible after installation.
Detachable steel cables connecting the frame to the door are installed on the “One” access door. All access door seams are connected by argon arc welding and additionally covered with anti-corrosion silver paint, which makes them reliable and invisible. Protruding self-tapping screws for fastening locks have plastic caps that prevent injuries when working with the access door.
The minimum size of the structure with one entrance is 200x200 mm, the maximum is 600x600 mm. Larger dimensions of the access door are not provided. If you require a larger access door, consider the “Wing” model.
The total depth of the structure in the closed state is 15 mm + lock protrusion of 40 mm = 55 mm.
To select the size of the “One” access door, it is necessary to measure the size of the niche in the drywall (mounting opening) and subtract 5 mm from the width and height; the obtained results will be the dimensions of the access door.
The access door can be turned so that the hinge is placed on the right side. Therefore, when ordering an access door, you only need to calculate the width L and the height of the access door H (for access doors in the ceiling, this is the side of the hinge W). If you chose a top-down opening for the wall, the access door hinge H (height) will be measured horizontally. The depth of the installation opening for installing the access door should be at least 15 mm, and in the area of the protrusion of the locks - 55 mm.
Important!!! Please note that the useful/light/free space of the access door is smaller than the overall size. In width L (perpendicular to the hinge), the space is 30 mm less, due to the placement of the open entrance on one side and the thickness of the frame profile on the other. At height H (side of the hinge and the opposite side), the free space is smaller by 4 mm, due to the thickness of the profile on both sides; additionally, it is necessary to take into consideration the thickness of the locks of 24 mm on the opposite side of the hinge (12 mm on each side).
“One” access door can only be installed in openings in walls or ceilings made of drywall or other board materials.
Preparation of the opening.
Cut the opening in the drywall 5 mm in width and length larger than the overall size of the access door.
Fixation of the access door in the opening.
Install the access door in the prepared opening at the same level as the drywall prepared for finishing. To do this, insert the access door diagonally into the opening, turn it so that the access door is directly placed in this opening, and the mounting wings are attached to the drywall in the middle of the opening. Next, fasten the access door aluminum profile wings to the drywall using self-tapping screws from the outside of the opening. Make sure that the access door is installed without distortion of the frame and in one plane with the surface of the wall or ceiling.
Facing.
When the access door is fixed, you can start applying putty. In order to prevent cracking and shedding of putty from the access door entrance, we recommend to follow the following facing recommendations:
1) Apply elastic polymer putty, 3 mm thick, to the access door entrance. It must be dry, follow the putty manufacturer's drying recommendations. Drying may take several days. During this period, it is forbidden to apply anything additionally to putty.
2) Apply super light, non-shrinking putty, 1 mm thick, to completely dry elastic putty. After 2-3 hours, perform finishing the facing in accordance with construction standards.
Use a mounting grid and flexible polymer putty to cover the joint between the access door frame and drywall to protect it against cracks.
Important!!!
Do not glue the glass screen on the access door entrance.
Storage conditions.
1. The product can be stored and transported in a horizontal and vertical position (with a longer side facing the floor) without stressing the locks;
2. The product must be stored exclusively indoors at a temperature from +10 to +50 degrees Celsius, relative humidity no more than 70%;
3. It is forbidden to store the product near open heat sources closer than 2 meters;
4. Direct ingress of water on the access door is prohibited.
Important!!!
• Access doors are installed in the ceiling before finishing the facing;
• During installation, it is important not to allow the frame to skew, the corners of the access door frame should be kept at 90 degrees. Additionally, the access door should be placed in one plane with the ceiling plane;
• Do not leave children unsupervised when the access door is open, as it is a heavy structure with sharp metal protrusions, so carelessness in its handling can lead to serious injury and bodily harm. Be cautious!
