DESCRIPTION

REZOTOR industrial hidden Floor Access Cover with a removable tray is specially designed for outdoor use. It is made of stainless steel protected from corrosion by chemical passivation. This protection makes it resistant to solutions of acids, oils and gasoline.

It is mainly used for access to sewage wells in industrial infrastructure.

REZOTOR is also suitable for creating hidden access to underground communications, water supply, sewage, communication lines, electric cables. It is used to create inspection wells, wells for collecting water, hidden entrances to technical rooms of swimming pools, artificial lakes, outdoor basement floors and floors of wet premises.

REZOTOR hidden Floor Access Cover can be filled with solid materials up to 40 mm thick (paving tiles, cobblestones, marble, granite and other stones, porcelain stoneware, terrace board or other similar materials).

The design of the Floor Access Cover consists of a frame and a tray. The visible gap between the frame and the tray is 1.5 mm. The tray contains a steel reinforced mesh treated with a glass jet to strengthen the poured concrete solution. The diameter of the reinforced mesh elements is 8 mm. The depth of the tray for filling is 80 mm, the total depth including the thickness of the steel is 83 mm. The total depth of the Floor Access Cover with the tray is 89 mm.

For the manufacture of the REZOTOR Floor Access Cover, AISI 304 sheet stainless steel with a thickness of 3 mm is used, which is processed by the method of chemical passivation. Additionally, stainless steel is polished with a glass jet. Moreover, glass jet processing removes residual stresses in welds. The Floor Access Cover frame and tray are formed by the bending method, and the welds are treated by the TIG method according to the international standard EN 10217-7 in the corners only. Therefore, the REZOTOR floor Floor Access Cover has a C250 load class. Cars and small cargo or passenger vehicles on air-filled rubber tires can freely drive over the Floor Access Cover. The load class is achieved only if the Floor Access Cover is concreted in the opening and the installation recommendations are followed.

Important!!! The depth of the tray can be changed by individual order from 30 mm to 100 mm! However, note that this will reduce the load class of the Floor Access Cover!

In the lower part of the frame on four sides there are special plates for fastening it to concrete. The Floor Access Cover is fixed with anchor bolts through the plates followed by full concreting.

A rubber gasket is installed on the inner surface of the frame, around the entire perimeter, to protect against moisture, dust and odors. The Floor Access Cover opens manually without additional lifting mechanisms.

To open the Floor Access Cover, you need to:

  • unscrew 2 decorative plugs placed diagonally in the corners of the Floor Access Cover;
  • in their place, screw in 2 lifting handles (included in the kit) and manually pull the tray out of the Floor Access Cover frame.

To close the door, do the process in the reverse order: insert the tray back into the frame, unscrew the lifting handles, screw in the decorative plugs. If necessary, the Floor Access Cover can be equipped with additional lifting handles (a total of 4).

The minimum possible overall dimensions of the structure are 300x300 mm, the maximum ones are 1200x1200 mm.

SIZE SELECTION

If the dimensions of the Floor Access Cover are not tied to the dimensions of the facing material, recommended overall dimensions of the Floor Access Cover are 80 mm larger (in width and length) than the mounting opening in the floor.

If you need to calculate the size of the tile Floor Access Cover, measure dimensions of the tile to be placed in the tray, taking into account thickness of in-between tile seams. To the measured dimensions add 19 mm to each side (in width and length) to obtain be the overall dimensions of the Floor Access Cover.

It should be taken into account that when concreting the Floor Access Cover, 150 mm of concrete solution should be poured from each of the four sides around the Floor Access Cover.

The depth of the Floor Access Cover structure in the closed state is 89 mm.

The clear/useful opening will not be reduced by the structure because the elements of the Floor Access Cover will be placed on the concrete floor.

ASSEMBLING

REZOTOR Floor Access Covers are mounted in the opening of the concrete floor only.

Preparation of the opening

Prepare an opening in the concrete floor of the correct geometric shape with 90o angles. Leave a space around the mounting opening for pouring concrete. In width, the size of the space on each side should be 190 mm (40 mm of a frame + 150 mm to pour concrete). Do not start laying the floor covering before installing the Floor Access Cover!

Fixation of the Floor Access Cover in the opening

Install the Floor Access Cover on top of the concrete floor so that the Floor Access Cover frame does not cover the opening. Make sure that the Floor Access Cover frame is installed without distortions and in one plane with the floor surface. Secure each frame mounting plate to the concrete floor with anchors. We recommend additionally treating the surface of the frame, which is adjacent to the concrete, with soil (paint, bitumen, etc.) to increase anti-corrosion properties.

Concrete the frame of the Floor Access Cover along the contour along the entire height.

Important!!! It is necessary to protect the edges of the frame and plugs from getting concrete mortar on them, because it will be very difficult to clean it after drying.

Preparation of the Floor Access Cover tray

Important!!! Do not start filling the Floor Access Cover tray until the Floor Access Cover frame is fixed and concreted.

Install the Floor Access Cover tray in the middle of the Floor Access Cover frame after it is fixed and concreted. Fill the tray by at least 40 mm with C35/45 grade concrete solution. When filling with concrete, the reinforcing mesh should not lie on the bottom of the tray but should be raised 5 mm above the bottom of the tray surface. Leave a space of the required depth for laying the facing material. If the recommended layer of the concrete covering is reduced, C250 load class will not be preserved. Deformation and destruction of the structure may also occur at the declared permissible loads.

Facing

After the concrete solution has dried, apply the facing material inside the tray, taking into account the manufacturer's recommendations for its fixation.

Important!!! The Floor Access Cover is not designed for overlaying the facing material on top of the sides of the tray and the frame so that they are not visible, this can lead to breakage and damage to the facing material.

Important!!! To achieve the maximum concealment of the Floor Access Cover, calculate the placement of the facing material fragments so that the seams are placed along the contour of the Floor Access Cover.

After installation, it is not recommended to walk on the Floor Access Cover for 3 days.

Important!!!

Before closing the Floor Access Cover, check for foreign objects on the Floor Access Cover frame and make sure that a sealer was correctly inserted;

Facing materials should be fastened in such a way as not to separate or get damaged when opening the Floor Access Cover.

Storage and transportation conditions

  • The Product can be transported only in a protective wooden frame;

2.The Product must be stored exclusively indoors or outdoors under covering at temperatures from -30 to +60 degrees Celsius and relative humidity without restrictions;

Do not leave children unattended when the Floor Access Cover is open, as it is a heavy construction with sharp metallic protrusions, so carelessness in its handling can lead to serious injuries and bodily harm.

If the Floor Access Cover is open and left unattended, be sure to seal it with a special tape to prevent other people from falling into the opening.
